I actually used google docs in order to create my spreadsheet. I used it because I do not have the full Microsoft Office on my laptop. Another reason that would make it nice to use is that you can use it at any computer. You do not have to download it to anything to use at another computer, it's on the web. It is also nice because you can make it a private or as pulic as you want to. This URL is my actual assingment that I created through google docs. It is also nice to use in the classroom with students. It makes for easy sharing. You can allow others to edit too which makes it good for group assignments as well. It is very similar to the Wiki because it is on the web and it can be utalized in very much the same way.
It's interesting to know that this doesn't have to be downloaded as a program to use it. I like that is is on the internet. Not many people have the money to keep upgrading their apps on computers or software. It's good to see things like this because it's accessible anywhere and if you truly need it or a document or spreadsheet asap, you can create it online!

ReplyDeleteI also tried to create a Power Point through Google Docs......that didn't go so well. It did not seem to have all of the features. I had to go back to my desktop where I have power point that was downloaded about 8 years ago. Maybe the spreadsheet one would not work if I had more to do with it.
