Creating a Delicious account was fairly easy. It does seem like a good concept, especially for teachers. Being able to have access to lots of websites on certain topics without having to spend the time doing the research is a great benefit. I have just bookmarked one website so I am not real familiar with using Delicious at this point but I do think that I will like using it. This would be a good tool for group research because you can share and see what websites your group members are getting there information from. I can see how using Delicious bookmarking would be a good resource for me in the classroom. Not only is it a quick and easy way to look at websites that you like to use, you can retrieve the information from any computer. It also is better because instead of e-mailing other teachers websites that you feel would be helpful and risk them being deleted or forgotten about, they are always there available at anytime, anywhere.
So far I agree. I like the Delicious idea but not how they tag items. You can only type one word. :( I've tried to put more than one word in as a tag and it just doesn't work. Somethings are hard to label with one word and you have to make string of words that don't look right seperated. I understand there trying to make a MS Access like program online. I like Access ability to catagorize items and searches but It's to complex to use unless you've taken a course on it. Delicous seems to be an online version but it's missing something. As more people put information one word searches are not going to work. I've just put a set of "" around a search and it seems to focus on the title of the webpage for the search instead of the Tags.... interesting.
